IN-LINE PIE & QUICHE PROCESSING

The AXIS Pie and Quiche System automates tray denesting, crust depositing and forming, filling, and finishing operations within continuous production lines. The system moves products through each stage of the process while maintaining consistent handling and a smooth, uniform finish across every product.

PRECISION: Consistent product appearance and portion control.

Uniform crust forming and filling application maintain consistent product appearance across every pie and quiche. Crust depositing and forming can replicate a consistent handmade-style finish with repeatable shape, texture and edge definition. Depositing systems control product placement and portioning accuracy, while topping and finishing applications deliver clean coverage and repeatable finished presentation throughout continuous production.

DENESTING

The AXIS Tray Denester automatically denests pie tins and places them into an indexing conveyor that transports them to the AXIS LD Depositor. A vacuum style denester below the conveyor ensures perfect placement of tins at every index. Sensors ensure all trays are denested before advancing to the next station.

BILLET FORMING

The AXIS LD Depositor is the most flexible solution in the industry for billet forming and depositing. The innovative design allows you to adjust depositing volumes and maintain overall volumetric variation of less than ±2%. Servo-driven, stainless-steel pressure rollers ensure precise portioning without compromising the quality of your dough.

PRESSING

Smooth or ridged, vertical or angled walls, the AXIS Press forms pie molds for all types of crusts. The temperature-controlled heads operate between 0-200°F for blocking and stamping without sticking. Air-manifold valves built into the dies make the removal of moist or sticky dough clean and efficient — no need for flour dusting or greasing.

FLEXIBILITY: Adaptable shell formats and production setup.

The system supports a wide range of pie and quiche formats through configurable tray sizes, crust profiles, and forming tools. Crust depositing, filling, and finishing can be adjusted through customized forming tools to achieve unique product shapes, edge definitions, and depth requirements. AXIS Pie and Quiche Systems adapt to available production footprints and can be configured for standalone stations or integrated line layouts based on production needs.
